Óir na Farraige – Project Lead (Ireland)
Óir na Farraige is an Irish company focused on the development of sustainable seaweed cultivation and marine biomass production. The company is working to establish scalable cultivation systems suited to Irish coastal waters while supporting the supply of seaweed biomass to emerging blue economy industries. As lead partner of the ONF Project, Óir na Farraige coordinates project activities and oversees the development of cultivation approaches within the project.
Arctic Seaweeds – Industry Partner (Norway)
Arctic Seaweeds is a Norwegian seaweed cultivation company specialising in seaweed farming technologies and production systems. The company develops cultivation solutions including advanced seeding techniques, hatchery systems, and operational practices designed to support reliable biomass production. Within the ONF Project, Arctic Seaweeds contributes technical expertise in seaweed cultivation and production systems.
University of Galway – Research Partner (Ireland)
The University of Galway contributes scientific and environmental research expertise to the ONF Project. Through its work in marine science and sustainable aquaculture research, the university supports the assessment of environmental interactions associated with seaweed cultivation, including ecosystem monitoring and environmental analysis
